Special StartUp Saturday

I recently visited a Special Startup Saturday meeting held at India Coffee House(on MG Road).The objective of Startup Saturday is to provide a forum for entrepreneurs to discuss, present, network and learn from peers, prospective customers, adopters and investors.

A group of people from Startup Saturday felt that a lot of entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs want a more structured and informed approach towards managing their venture, this gave rise to Special Startup Saturday.It is called Special Startup Saturday as it is held usually on Sunday :).

As a part of Special Startup Saturday, the first event is being held on june 15th at IIMB.I feel that all the aspiring entrepreneurs should attend this event and get benefit from the talks.Here are the more details of the event.

A New House and A New Experience

After almost 2 and half years of my commute on the same road from BTM-hating the traffic,crusing the traffic police and thinking of starting early , today i had a totally different experience.Yes, i know some of you guys might have already guessed it we shifted our house in Bangalore we moved to jeevan bheema nagar,it is just 2 kms from 100ft road.Yesterday i had an almost sleepless night as my brain nerves take time to adjust to new surrondings.I got up early in the morning at 6:30am although i slept at 3:00 am.I did have the enthusiasm enough to try out the Gym in our new apartment so got the key from the security guard and did threadmill for 15 min then came back to home did some squats ,pushups and completed my daily activities.I started from home early and when i was starting from home i had an impression that airport road will be very crowded and M.G road would be horrible.I went to kempfort to collect my laptop from uday and i did reset the meter reading in my bike to keep track of distance till my office.Luckily i was not bored while driving as i had naresh in the pillion seat and you know how the experience would be, contious chatter.We reached the domulur and entered (Army) Road and it was completely free as if i was on some intermediate ring road and then my meter reading started showing 5.5 kms and i heard the hiss hiss sounds of naresh saying that "may be the distance will be same for you from old home and now also but the traffic is moving, unlike bannerghatta road so you can happily have a good ride " although he said it correctly i started apposing him by saying that "yeah here it will be cool but as soon as i reach MGRoad it will not be moving traffic but it will be walking traffic" meanwhile we reached the end of that (Army) Road and we had 2 diversions and then naresh asked me to take a right for MGRoad .I asked him which road will come if we go straight and he had no answer,we saw the route map on the board above the traffic lights and surprisingly i found it as Richmond Circle so i raced ahead straight and it was cool i reached near the lifestyle so dropped naresh in the middle and quickly reached my office.The astonishing moment was as soon as i reached my office i saw the meter reading and it was 6.5 km and i felt very happy and then i saw the time and to my surprise i reached office in just 12 min .What else can anyone expect in bangalore other than riding on free straight roads and reaching destinations in min ? It is a pleasant morning and as soon as i reached office, parking lot was free and i could choose where to park my bike instead of searching where can i park my bike.I entered the lift and as i reached 6th floor i could see office boys placing news papers in the reception and maids dusting grills in the balcony.I could sparely see anyone at there desks except one of two WR people and house keeping guys moving here and there.I came to my desk switched on the light and i could no longer see uday in his seat greeting me with his message "hey how come you came so early today" .I switched on my laptop had my breakfast and milkshake and as usual started playing with this little keyboard.It was an entirely new Experience and an Exciting Experience."Cheers To The NewHouse!!!!!!!"

Team Outing

What a wonderful team outing it was on 19th Dec 2006.We started with watching the movie "Casino Royale" in the morning at PVR...It was my second time for this movie and i felt damn bored first time so i went half heartedly but i liked it this time as i could hear the dialogues clearly .Then we went to Indigoes ,an awesome italian restaurant.I gussed having soup as i was already starving for food as din't have my breakfast.We had a very good variety of non veg dishes to eat .I dint touch lamb although i was tempted as i had some rashes last time when i tasted lamb so i satisfied my appetite with chicken and mutton.We then started to leela palace...It was my first visit to leela's...I was surprised at the ambience in the palace....The Entrance had a decorated christmas tree and we had a soothing music being played by a pianist.i din't know that Leela palace had so many shops inside it.I thought it was just a hotel But when i went in it was a totally different experience.In the sportsBar we enjoyed a lot.We played two games of bowling..and our team was rocking with the highest scores.And joshna managed to make a decent score with one hand as the other one was fractured.I played pool also for the first time.We had two thrilling games of foozeball with full competition from rajesh.Totally it was joyful fun outing with the team today.i will try to attach some photos later.
